I'm VERY excited. Sarah, Laura, and I are going to see Pirates of the Caribbean tomorrow. That'll be my 6th time, meaning that I'll have seen it as much as Harry Potter. I can't wait!!!!!
Funny, though, I didn't end up going with either Emily or Laura to their various actvities. I felt that I would end up feeling rather rediculous carrying a white board around all day. Instead I stayed home and practiced Fawkes the Phoenix on the piano. I must say that I'm getting better at it, although I still can't do the middle part. It's impossible.
We had pizza for dinner tonight. It's been too long. Down at school, we got pizza just about every week. Here at home, we're lucky if it's every month.
We went to the library the other day, and we found a movie called Desiree. Well, Sarah leant me her old ratty book a long time ago, and on Harry Potter day, we found a copy for sale!!! I devoured the book, it being one of my favorites, and loved it just as much. Well, when we came home, we put the movie in right away, and I absolutely LOVED it! The only problem is that it left out the end of the book, and because of that, the end of the story. I did like it, however, and it followed the book very, very well. I actually would like to have it, I liked it so much.
We also found a film version of one of Dorothy L. Sayer's novels: Clouds of Witness. Sayers is one of my favorite authors and I was excited to watch it. Well, yesterday, I watched the whole thing, 5 tapes, 45 min long each. Well, Peter wasn't exactly right looks-wise, but they did a smashing good job with his character. It was also a very good version of the book. They followed the book very well, and it was even more fun, because I couldn't remember who did it. I also forgot that Peter almost dies in this one about 5 times. Well, anyway, it was fun. Now I want to find the ones with Harriet Vane. Those are the best books, although, I do like Murder Must Advertise. I laughed myself sick in that one.
I'm very, VERY excited about tomorrow!!!!! Pirates and Sexy Captain Man, here I come!!!!
So, I'm feeling much better now, only my voice is going. I've decided to go on a thing I used to do in high school during the musical; Voice Rest. Tomorrow, I won't talk all day, and to communicate with those who don't know American Sign Language, I'm going to take a white board around with me. Yes, it will be a hastle, but you see, my family and I are singing in church on Sunday, and I can't sing if I don't have a voice.
Lately, I've been looking around for Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow pics and have found some really, REALLY good ones. Ok, I've decided, I'm totally and completely obsessed!!! I can't let a day go by when I haven't listened to my Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack CD (focusing on number two, his grand entrance music) and look for hot pictures of my Sexy Captain Man (Jack). My older sister, Emily, keeps telling me about how all of her friends online are having a "debate" about who is cuter, Wil or Jack. Well, for me, no contest; Jack. Don't get me wrong, Will is so gorgeous in this movie that I can hardly stand it, but it's all about Jack. His mannerisms and his comic ways just get to me every time. I've seen the darn thing 5 times, and EVERY time I sit in anticipation of seeing my Jack comming in on the mast and then procede to laugh histarically in anticipation of the crazy, crackpot things he'll do in the movie. I swoon over the half-smiles and profiles and can't even bear it when he curls his mustach up on the beach. Even his voice and the way he says certain things like "Commodore!" and "Pirate" and "Crossin' Blades", melts me in my chair. And his profile, and the way he looks just when he's done what he has wanted to do for ten years!!! *sigh* Magic!
Anyway, enough about that. There's more to life than Jack, although at this point, it's hard to see what. j/k. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me. I think my family is feeling sorry for me, because they keep asking me to go with them when they go out and do things with their friends. Emily is taking me with her and Jen to the new Library up in Salt Lake City, and then my twin, Laura, is taking my to her work dinner party. I must say that my life is pretty pathetic right now. I mean, how else do I have enough time to look for hours on end for Jack Sparrow pics and still have time to read an entire book in one day? It's just my darn surgery! It's layed me pretty low, and since I can't lift anything over 10 pounds until January, I really can't do much. Oh, and to top it all off, I just lost 5 more pounds, which makes me a grand total of... (drum-roll please...) 79 pounds. *trumpets: Bah bah bah dah!* Let's just say that I'm really excited to get back to school for no better reason than to give me something to do than lay around all day. It also gives me an opportunity to *gasp* get a job! *oh no! anything but that!!!* I will miss my family, though, but luckally, I'm only going to live about a half and hour away, so it'll be easy to come home if I get really homesick.
Well, I'd better go. I want to start a new book and then go to bed. Funny how even though I've layed around all day, I'm still exhausted. Maybe that's because I've had to continually supress an almost unsupressable need to cough. My asthma has really kicked in, and even my inhaler isn't working so well. Oh well, I'll get through it. Hey, if I can get through back surgery, I can do anything, right!!!?
Night.

You are "Welcome to the Caribbean, love."
You're more than a little world-weary, but also
intelligent and you keep your head when things
get dodgy. You're everybody's favorite
drinking buddy, but your stubbornness does get
in the way sometimes.
Which one of Captain Jack Sparrow's bizarre sayings from Pirates of the Caribbean are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
"Couldn't Resist, mate."
Yup, it's been a while, but you can hardly blame me. I had back surgery on June 9, then went to Florida on July 18, so I haven't really been able to write.
Well, I have yet another cold. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't flare up my Asthma. I mean, I get colds all the time and I'm almost used to them by now, but this time, my chest is very heavy and I have a hard time getting air in. I really don't like being sick, and since I am sick so much, it's starting to get really annoying.
I have a new obsession. It's a little thing called Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. More specifically, Captain Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Depp. Ok, I'm completely obsessed with him. Yes, Orlando Bloom is a hottie, and is very much eye candy in this movie, but Johnny Depp steals the show. He's so funny! I've seen the movie 5 times already and want to see it again so bad!!! I'm determined to see it as many times as I saw the Harry Potter movies: 6 times. Only one more left, and it probably won't be the last. I might wait until it comes out to the dollar theaters to see it after I've made my 6 times. Seeing a movie that many times gets expensive, and I don't have a job.
Well, I need to rest now. I'll try to be better at writing.
